Play Is The Curriculum
Children learn fastest when they are laughing — so we schedule joy.
Every break brings organised games alongside free play: capture the flag, parachute games, scavenger hunts and our legendary Friday dance freeze. Indoors, rainy days mean board-game clubs, drama improvisation and construction challenges.
- Daily organised playground games with coaches
- Team challenges that mix ages and abilities
- Rainy-day clubs: chess, drama and building
- Termly whole-school game tournaments
- Buddy system so no child ever plays alone

Games Questions
What if my child is shy about joining in?+
Buddies and play coaches gently include every child. Most shy starters are leading games within a term.
Are competitive games compulsory?+
Never. Tournaments are opt-in, teams are mixed-ability, and taking part always earns more cheers than winning.
What happens on rainy days?+
Indoor clubs take over: board games, drama, construction and film club with popcorn on Fridays.
