Strong readers who can also pitch a tent, play a recorder and comfort a friend — that is our definition of well educated. Here is how an ordinary Brightbarn week builds the whole child.
Mornings: The Foundations
Before lunch we focus on reading, writing and maths in small groups matched to each child's stage. Short, lively sessions and daily one-to-one reading mean nobody drifts and nobody waits — progress is steady and visible.
Afternoons: The Breadth
Then the week opens out: science experiments on Mondays, music and singing on Tuesdays, art on Wednesdays, sport throughout and garden classroom every Friday whatever the weather. Specialists teach each subject, so quality never depends on luck.
The Proof In The Pudding
Our leavers read fluently, calculate confidently and — just as importantly — organise their own games, resolve their own squabbles and look after younger buddies. Secondary schools tell us they spot Brightbarn children within a week.
